The Woodlands Town Center
Whenever you’re in a city you’re looking to explore, you’re always bound to find something worth remembering in the middle of everything. There may be the occasional attractions in the outskirts, especially for those who find peace and relaxation away from civilization… but the city’s heart always beats, and as at least one philosopher quoted, where the heart is, there is sure to be life.
The Woodlands’ Town Center is a prime example of such a central location where one is guaranteed to find what they want and/or need. This business district of The Woodlands is a literal thousand acres packed with activity, as well as opportunities for shopping, lodging, entertainment, and all sorts of pleasant diversions. It is The Woodlands’ statement that it is able to sustain the distinguished tastes of the inhabitants of its mostly residential setup, and then some.
What’s to see in the Town Center? Well, The Woodlands Mall is home to a complete set of national and local shopping outlets and restaurants, among other businesses. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is an internationally acclaimed open-area amphitheater, with events happening on a regular basis. If you’re in town for a conference or any other large-scale assemblies and gatherings, you’re most likely to be staying within The Woodlands Resort and Convention Center.
Besides the obvious fact that they are all in The Woodlands’ Town Center, do you want to know what else is in common with these attractions? They are also connected to each other via a unique feature – The Woodlands Waterway. You can literally cruise from one Town Center destination to another via the Water Taxi. For an affordable fee, you can avail of a day pass which gets you from one attraction to the other in style. You also have the option of kayaking through the services of the Riva Row Boat House.
You may also end up in the Waterway Square; though this is dubbed the more ‘professional’ section of the Town Center (being host to a good number of office buildings), visitors would not be disappointed with the number of restaurants and entertainment venues also featured in this area. In fact, you can stick around in the evenings, as the fountains provide a show, skillfully choreographed with an expert lighting system.
We’ve merely scratched the surface on the many things you can do here. To be honest, words simply cannot do justice to paint a complete picture of how much the entire family would enjoy The Woodlands Town Center. Fortunately, it’s easy to go there yourself – it’s a quick drive north from Houston through the Interstate.
